What is a Kyphoplasty?

These fractures occur when vertebrae collapse, causing pain, reduced mobility, and changes in posture. Kyphoplasty helps alleviate pain, stabilize the spine, and restore the height of the affected vertebra.
The procedure involves inserting a small balloon into the fractured vertebra, which is then inflated to create space. Once the desired height is restored, a special bone cement is injected to stabilize the area and prevent further collapse.
